Job Grade : Band 5 Department : FCC&RC Branch/MHQ : MHQ Report to : Head of FCC, HACN Major Responsibilities : · Support the Country Head of FCC in the oversight and coordination of the investigation of cases according to a scope of work agreed with the Country Head. · Conduct day-to-day operations of local AML Investigations, including managing IRIS Reportable Events, co-ordinating AML Investigations, Investigation Exchange, and ad hoc requests of Country Head of FCC. · Draft, review and issue investigation reports, including root cause analysis and agreed recommendations for change with relevant risk type owners. Responsible for ensuring Level 2 Case analysis is complete and compliant. · Escalate any potentially significant issues found during the course of an investigation to relevant internal stakeholders, including the local FIU, FCI, GIIG, Sanctions, CSEM etc. · Conduct risk analysis based on the AML MI data provided by Lines of Business (LoB’s) and relevant stakeholders to mitigate identified risks, track recommendations and agreed actions, including client exits, to ensure completion. · Undertake local ad hoc projects, reviews and monitoring as requested by the Country Head of FCC. · Coordinate and facilitate information exchange, team work and efficiency of the Country AML Investigations as part of the wider FCC programme. · Responsible for escalating to Local Lines of Business FCC Advisors information about Thematic Lines of Business Compliance weaknesses or failures identified during the course of investigation. · Responsible for overseeing the effective and compliant implementation and sustainable day to day execution of the AML Investigations Quality Control Process as set out in the AML Investigation guidance and procedures · Manage the AMLi QC team’s role in the escalation process with FCI, FIU, GIIG, CSEM, Investigations Exchange, AB&C, RC and Global Sanctions. Validate the AMLi QC’s team assessment for escalation cases. · Manage the assign of Level 2 and Level 3 cases for QC Review (or managing a process for doing so), track work progress and managing time requirements · Ensure that the AMLi QC team achieve the level of Level 2 TM or UAR cases and AML Level 3 Investigations to agreed procedural QC standards required and within agreed service levels - Support and participate in key initiatives from the country/region. Incumbent Requirements : ·
Fluent English ability, both·
Working experience in the banking industry over 8 years, which AML working experience over 5 year is preferred.·
Experience in investigative work preferred. At a minimum, experience in related investigation field (EDD reports, Intelligence, Journalism) essential. Ideally including transaction monitoring and customer screening.·
Working knowledge of CDD and client reviews, including relationship reviews on a periodic or trigger basis.·
Experience in compilation of reports and/or SARs reporting experience·
Experience in undertaking investigations/analysis into customer activity with the ability to draw inferences from noted behavior, including transactional profile, against expectation established from CDD·
Basic knowledge of proceeds of crime legislation associated AML regulation and guidance and SAR filing (consent and intelligence) processes. ACAMS/ICA Diploma preferred.·
Good working knowledge of AML within the financial services industry.·
Experience in the financial services industry, ideally from universal banking.·
Proven project management and analytical skills, together with ability to support decisions with sound commercial reasoning·
Knowledge of e-discovery, internet open source research preferred.·
Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.·
Numerate, evidence based analytical skills founded on an empirical base.·
Good communicator with strong inter-personal and presentation skills.
