5.0 out of 5 starsIt also works for Taiwanese Channels!ByL LiuI bought this for my mom because she paid $18 to the cable company every month for 15 years just to watch 3 Taiwanese Channels, which still have no HD option today.This Letv box allowed us to finally cancel the cable add-ons! It came preloaded with 25 Taiwanese channels, including all my mom’s favorites in HD. And that’s on top of about 100 most popular TV channels from Mainland China and massive amounts of the newest Chinese TV dramas on-demand. Also, the HD videos load super-fast!The box has a nice app store that makes it easy to install all the big-name streaming apps from China. It’s increasingly useful now as more and more of the best Chinese shows are exclusive to their streaming platforms. It did take my 58-year-old mother some time to maneuver her way around all the live channels, on-demand content and apps to find the stuff she likes. But once she did, it’s really all she needs for TV. We get much more content for so much less compared to cable.

Even though LeTV carries a lot of good contents, the UX design making the whole TV experience absolutely terrible. The UX designers who worked on this probably have 0 experience. An UI design major intern would probably do a better job. And I am surprised that LeTV, a major online streaming supplier in China, would release it. Does LeTV have NO quality control? If I were the manager of this product, I would immediately stop shipping this, completely redesign it and have a proper limited review program for the North America Users, before even considering releasing it. Be aware, you are shipping products in the US, you bare a Chinese brand name and you are indeed a major tech company in China. What would US customer think of you? Jia Yueting should be completely shamed.

ByVery bad experience.First, it keeps restarting after I activated the membership.Second, most of the live tv wouldn't work at all.Third, most of the tv shows still have the IP issue!Fourth, lots apps cannot download.Fifth, the remote is too small.Sixth, sometimes pages cannot load, you have to load it for another time to get it.Seventh, after turn off, and turn it on, it might have the disconnection problem, so you need to unplug the power and replug it in.Overall, I think the news about this company was true at all. The severs in the USA were closed, most sources couldn't provide the need as it promised. I suggested the people don't buy it if you wish you could watch what ever you want.

ByIf I can give zero star, I will. I bought two u4. One broken (up able to power up) after 6 months. Took 2 month (No TV) to get a replacement. The replacement was someone else's returned device (with other user ID on it), and worked for few days then unable to power up again. They do not replace your defected device, simply swap it with another defected device.

ByThe video quality for this U4 TV Box is great, very clear and fast! My parents love it very much, and also very useful to teach my kid Mandarin, my little one loves the Chinese cartoon series as well. Very good choice for America Chinese family. Strongly recommend!

ByBought it because I had a friend that uses it and it worked for him but he had the older version when I bought mine got this newer version U4 with no ethernet cable option so the only connection is through wifi, supposed to come with one year free membership but didn't.. had to call several times finally they fixed it. The box worked for few months until around couple months ago, couldn't access live channels called their tech support was told to do factory setting, after doing that the box quit working at all until now!!! Promised they will extend the free membership when problem resolved but it has been two months now still doesn't work!!! So frustrating!!!....
