在广义范围上，订单包括市价订单，就是在现有市场价的基础上买入或者卖出，以及待处理订单，这种订单只有在市场到达你设定的价位时才会执行。
市价订单比较简单，它是用来在当前最佳可用价格请求开设买入或卖出头寸的订单。但是这里也需要清楚市场价的概念：市场价的本来意义是当前能立即成交的价格。比如现在的买卖价格分别是买300，卖301，那么你想买，就需要301，想卖就收入300.。如果你设为299能买的时候再买，那就是排队价了，是属于市场到达你设定的价位时才会执行的待处理订单。
待处理订单多种多样，主要有以下几类需要注意：挂单、限价单、止损单、追踪止损单。
挂单是在指定的未来价格买入或卖出交易工具的订单，只有在市场达到该具体价格时才会执行。如前面例子所述，现在的买卖价格分别是买300，卖301，你想在299能买的时候再买，这就属于挂单。
限价单会在市场动向超过您指定的进入级别时触发，在您进入交易时提供限价单价格或更好的价格 -
但从来没有更坏的价格。
止损单是设置在固定价格水平的有条件订单，其目的是在达到某个价格时平仓。当市场动向以不利于交易者的趋势发展时，便会触发止损单。它旨在当某个头寸损失资金时防止进一步损失。如在3840买入一吨黄大豆1号合约，经过技术分析判断等其他方面的综合研究，认为如果黄大豆1号合约跌破3800，那么他会跌的更低，或者感觉跌倒3800时，涨回来的可能性太小，此时，投资者就执行止损指令，形成止损单。
追踪止损单是止损单的一种类型，会在市场价格出现波动时随着交易移动。它不会保持在固定的价格，因此以某个基本点距离进行设置。它的目的是实现头寸获利。
