博士后选择：香港中文 or 南洋理工大学？？？
本人有三岁小孩，老婆学医（事业编制）！
出国主要是混个海外经历，发几篇文章！
现有两个offers，一个事香港中文大学，一个是南洋理工大学！
1）两边的待遇方面都差不多（每个月2万多人民币）；
2）两边的教授水平也差不多；
3）研究方向，南洋理工大学发高水平的文章应该不是怎么好发，香港中文大学的研究方向发文章要好一些；
4）两边都是先签一年，看情况再签（好像怀疑我的能力）！
打算做几年薄后，还是回国混，请给点建议！

NTU部分老师还算可以,不过打酱油的也很多.如果你能忍受得了新加坡炎热的天气和新加坡英语,去看看也不错.在那里读过4年念书,还真没什么太多留恋的.不过不知道香港会不会好些,至少在那里转了转好点,不过也有可能要适应到处说粤语的情况. 两个学校都很牛啊，文章是一方面，LZ的兴趣也是一方面 我去过新加坡南洋理工，各有利弊我想。你列个表格，比较一下你在意的各个方面，就知道你倾向去哪个了。新加坡的消费比香港低，钱方面可以多攒点。你既然说两面的教授水平差不多，你比较下两个组近年来发表的文章情况，怎么就知道NTU不好发文章呢？签一年是正常的，很多人都是1年，或2年，你不愿意干时提前一个月就可以辞职，通常老板都会和你续约的。怀疑咱的科研能力也是可以理解的，再说你还得考虑是否要为之工作呢，考虑是双方面的。 最近也收到了NTU的一个博后职位，犹豫去不去呢，不知道楼主在国内是否有教职了？

Postdoctoral Fellow Recruitment
Dr Qihua Xiong’s group at Nanyang Technological University is looking for several postdoctoral fellows to conduct a few research projected funded by Singapore National Research Foundation and Ministry of Education.
Position 1: to conduct research on chemically synthesized layered chalcogenides compounds and their bulk thermoelectric (TE) nanocomposite properties. Candidates with expertise in solution synthesis,&&basic structural and compositional characterizations, and TE transport measurement will be considered in priority.
Position 2: to conduct research on laser cooling of semiconductors (within the scope of optical refrigeration of solids).&&Recent breakthrough in our group indicated that II-VI semiconductors support net laser cooling compared with III-V quantum wells. We look for a strong candidate to strengthen our team to search for other new materials for laser cooling, and build proof-of-concept devices for all-solid-state semiconductor cryocoolers. Candidates with expertise in semiconductor optics, Raman scattering/photoluminescence spectroscopy, II-VI crystal growth, ultrafast spectroscopy or semiconductor many body theory will be considered in priority.
Position 3: to conduct research on photovoltaics, in particular inorganic nanomaterials for PV. Candidates with expertise in materials synthesis, PV device fabrication and characterizations are welcome to apply.
Position 4: to conduct research on optical properties of 2D layered dichalcogenides such as MoS2, WS2, WSe2 etc. funded by Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE). Look forward to have candidates committed for 2-3 years. Candidates with expertise in 2D dichalcogenides or graphene are encouraged to apply. Experience on optical spectroscopy such as Raman scattering, photoluminescence and sample preparation is a plus.

We invite applications for a postdoc position in a research group led by Ayumu Tashiro in Warwick-NTU&Neuroscience research program, located at Biopolis, Singapore. Our work focuses on the function of hippocampal circuitry through a multi-disciplinary approach combining virus-mediated genetic manipulation, optogenetics, behavioral analysis and unit recording techniques in behaving rodents. A successful candidate contributes by her/his expertise in slice electrophysiology. A successful candidate requires a PhD degree in neuroscience or related field and skills required for independently performing experiments using whole-cell patch clamp recording in brain slice. Research focuses 1) Function and regulations of adult dentate neurogenesis - Circuit analysis using transgenic mice expressing channelrhodopsin-2 - Investigating functional integration of adult-born neurons using virus-mediated genetic manipulations (Ref. Tashiro et al. Nature 442:929-33, 2006. J Neurosci, 27:07) 2) Cellular mechanisms underlying place cell activity in the hippocampus - Synaptic and cellular analysis of genetically-manipulated neurons to elucidate mechanisms underlying place-cell activity. The School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University and the Warwick-NTU Neuroscience Programme invite candidates for Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates to join a Neural Circuits laboratory based at the Biopolis research complex in Singapore. The laboratory aims to identify and characterize factors that direct the assembly and maintenance of neural circuits, and to understand how the organization of these circuits controls specific behaviors. These issues are examined through the analysis of circuits in the cerebellum important for coordination, movement and motor learning. We are seeking individuals with interests in neuroscience, molecular and developmental biology who wish to explore mechanisms underlying the development and function of neural circuits using genetics, optogenetics, imaging, and/or behavioral approaches. Principal Responsibilities: Utilize and develop anatomical, genetics, optogenetics, imaging and behavioral assays to characterize circuits involved in motor behaviors and learning. Assess consequences of genetically manipulating components of cerebellar circuits in vivo and in vitro using rodents. Preferred Qualifications: M.S./Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Physiology or the equivalent.
