银行均不能提供外币硬币兑换 3万枚英镑硬币成废币?
扬州网讯 “手上有近3万枚英镑硬币，但跑了多家银行都无法兑换成人民币。”近日，市民王先生向本报求助。记者走访发现，外币硬币确实无法在银行兑换。
王先生是做外贸生意的，一个外国生意伙伴还了他一批英镑硬币，共3万枚，总价值近2万英镑。但没想到，他找了多家银行兑换人民币，都遭拒绝。
按照现在的汇率，英镑对人民币汇率约为1:9，这笔英镑硬币价值约18万元人民币。英镑的硬币，真的就无法兑换？昨日，记者相继走访了中行、建行、工行、农行等，得到的答复均是“无法兑换”。
“根据我国现行规定，在汇率牌上有的货币种类，只要拿着本人身份证就可进行外币现钞和现汇兑换，在一定的限额内，人民币兑外币和外币兑人民币，都是可以的；但只限于纸币，硬币不能兑换。”市区一家国有银行工作人员告诉记者，不但是英镑，其他外币的硬币，也基本不能兑换，全国范围基本都是这样。
记者随后向市人行相关人士咨询，也得到类似答复，“外币硬币目前不好兑换的原因，一是目前国内银行没配备外币硬币识别机器，难识别真伪；二是硬币运输麻烦，成本高，难处理。”

境外归来少带些硬币
很多人到境外旅游时，看到那些用多种金属合成的镶嵌彩币时，往往爱不释手，会带一些回来。但带回后，往往都是无法兑换的，最终只能成为“废币”。银行方面提醒：市民尽量少带外国硬币回来，而应在回国前兑换成现钞。持有国外硬币的人，可当作收藏品珍藏，也可叫朋友拿到国外使用或兑换。责任编辑：戴燕
